Are you best known by people who don’t know you?
Posted: February 27th, 2009 | Author: James Duncan | Tags: Dobson | Comments OffAn AP story about James Dobson resigning from the board of Focus on the Family included this observation:
While Focus on the Family emphasizes that it devotes most of its resources to offering parenting and marriage advice, it is best known for promoting conservative moral stands in politics.
I’m guessing that would come as a surprise to the millions of people who value Dobson’s primary message that provides principled, practical and godly advice to families, and that only rarely deals with politics.
Perhaps people who don’t know Dobson well think of him as a political figure, but I think that the people who know him best know him as a counselor and friend.
