I don't think he wanted advice in the first place. I think he wanted reinforcement.

The fact that he deleted Tommy's comments and then closed the comments is very, very disturbing...

What is the nasty comment, worthy of being scrubbed? I posted crazy talk about ministers attending seminary (Gasp!).

My substantive reply will be offered in the next few days - it won't be a terribly long piece - but I want to make sure it says what I need it to say, in case someone from NS is able to delete it from PP, as well.

All I'll say for now is:
1) we know Ace's preferred way for handling disagreement among his congregation: he likes it when they leave (enemas - he told us).
2) we know NS's way to handle leadership "slight" differences: he likes it when they leave (call it enemas leadership-style).
3) we now know how mature BCoop is when engaged in a polite (truly!) exchange of opinions: delete the outrageous talk of seminary, scrub the site of all hints, and lock out further comments (and no - they did not notify me). In other words he likes it when they leave - and if they won't - he kicks them out.

It must be nice to be master of one's domain, and never hear any other opinions.

Censorship - in one way or another - is their MO. Pattern anyone? I feel a bumper sticker in the works in the future (or maybe it's just throw up coming up my throat).

Thanks. It's a shocking quote, folks. I can understand why NS needed to censor it. Twit, you should be ashamed.

It's too troubling to post tonight. You won't be able to sleep.

Look for it in the morning.

Comin' at ya. BTW, I just went to BCoop's blog to ask what was offensive about my quote, but comments on that post are closed.

Twit, can you send me the CHS quote you had used so I can post it? It might be interesting to read what they didn't want us to see.

What amuses/annoys me is that we ASK NSers and BCoop to come and prosecute their case or defend their church practices here at PPages and give their 'line' almost no-one comes. But when two (two!) of us go play in their sandpit we get kicked out. And not for calling anyone there BAMF or quoting Dane Cook, but for (Tommy) drawing attenting to Scripture and (me) quoting Spurgeon. What's with that?!? Where is the love?

Can't say I got any explanation or notification from the Coopster so I'm not sure which part of my defence of scholarship(or Spurgeon's exposition of Pauls request to Timothy to "bring books") was offensive. I'd hope that it wasn't just because it strayed from the NS 'line'. That'd be disappointing.
