In praise of pessimism 3

Noble offers us this insight into history:

God rarely uses a pessimist to change the world…but satan OFTEN uses them to discourage those who want to change the world!

I suppose he hasn’t read Martin Luther’s biography, nor Washington’s, nor Lincoln’s.

On the other hand, Hitler and Lenin were quite the optimists.

In which case, let me posit a fifth Pajamas Axiom: People who say they want to change the world should be strongly discouraged from doing so.

You could be a great twitter-er with those kinds of statements.

Silly things like historical and theological precedents mean nothing to a “Reformer.”
