It’s just as well that Paul never flew coach

If you track Perry Noble’s tweet feed in the sidebar, you already know that whenever he travels we get treated to almost constant belly aching about how poorly he’s treated by the airlines and his fellow travelers. His trip to California last week was no exception. Some excerpts:

The pilot just informed us that the plane ride may get a little rough…DUH…I think we may actually be upside down!!!

They just informed us that they had to get a smaller plane and are asking for volunteers to give up their seat…I’m not doing that!

Not that we’d expect him to be so generous, minister of the gospel and all that. Do you suppose that if he’d been bumped to another flight he’d have had much compassion for all the losers who’d refused to give up their seats for him?

Ahhh…the smell of jet fuel…about to projectile vomit!

It’s all the airline’s fault, of course.

If you have stock in Delta airlines…SELL…SELL…SELL!!! :-)

But the self-centered savagery of his personal assistant and traveling companion takes the cake:

Delta – if I could make something dead with my mind – it would be you!!!

If I were Delta, I’d make a deal with NewSpring church to pay them NOT to fly on my airline, considering how often the company is loudly and publicly excoriated (Noble has 13,000 Twitter followers).

Or perhaps I’d insist that Noble and friends read Acts 27 before boarding the planes that take them across a continent in just a few hours while eating, drinking, playing video games and tweeting in air conditioned comfort.

Paul was only shipwrecked, starved, snake bitten and marooned. What did he know about troublesome traveling?

He obviously never flew Perry Noble’s Delta, or else he could not have written Philippians 4:11-13.

I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.

I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
