PP,
I apologize. I had it wrong. This whole time I thought twitter was for the birds, but I realize now that it’s very useful to post announcements to all my followers.
Also, I get to give updates to all the famous people I know and you can read our conversations.
Try it out. Twitter = tweets for my peeps.
I had hoped that Pajama Pages would be a useful part of the online NewSpring discussion/debate. Instead, it has become a place to vent for the Noble-obsessed.
While I am uncomfortable with Noble’s criticisms of his critics, I am now more uncomfortable with his critics criticisms. Like I said before, I’ve never heard Noble criticize anyone personally by name. If you all would focus on sincere criticism -without mocking your target or misinterpreting him for the sake of a “gotcha moment”- you’ll find you have many more readers and commenters.
So with that bit of unsolicited advice, I’ll show myself the door. I pray the Lord will use you all to further His kingdom.
JT (I’m guessing you’ll be back),
Tommy’s tweets seem quite pastoral, from what I’ve seen of how other Christian leaders use the service. What’s wrong with his?
Aren’t your outrages misdirected? Tommy does it as a joke (I think), and it’s out of bounds. Someone else does it for real, and we’re supposed to take that seriously?
JT: I’m confused. I’m just using twitter like everyone else. Look at my 5/10 posting. I make it pretty clear what my goal is.
My use of twitter is part of my “empathy experiences protocol” that my psychologist told me about. She said: try and think like they think, do what they do, and you may understand them more, and grow to love what they do. So, I went home straight away and signed up for twitter. You know what? I do love what they do when we’re talking about twitter. I thought PP readers would appreciate my “empathy experiences protocol.” I’m trying to empathize with the NS-set.
Don’t knock twitter until you try it.
JDuncan: you said “his.” Is Tommy a his or a her?
Tommy,
You need to cut this out. I fear that Twitter might Cooperize your account.
Twitter is for serious users, don’t you know?
I’m following.
